Celebrating our new Chicago studio space

Around 300 of our closest friends joined us on April 12 to see our new office space in the historic Marquette Building and make merry. The theme of the night was "Our Best Face Forward," and guests and staff sipped red Holabird-tinis while socializing in our newly finished studio. The evening was framed by the old and new: classic music and foods were presented in an alternative, fresh way.

"We were thrilled to have such a good gathering on a chilly night. It was fun to catch up with everyone and show off our new home," said James Baird, Principal.

The crowd was an eclectic mix of past and present clients, staff, peers, associates, and Holabird & Root alumni. Several retired staff members joined the party, including John A. Holabird, Jr., Jerry Horn, Frank Castelli, and Nick Bilandic.

Holabird & Root had been in its last office building for over 40 years, and the move to the Marquette marks the first time the firm has located its offices in a Holabird & Root-designed building since leaving 333 North Michigan in 1947. We are in the process of pursuing LEED certification for the new space's sustainable design.
