Plano Awarded ALA Design Award
Waubonsee Community College Plano Classroom Building was bestowed a Merit Award, in the Institutional category, of the Association of Licensed Architects’ (ALA) 2012 Design Awards. According to the ALA, the awards are meant “to give professional recognition to excellence in Design by selecting award recipients whose work exhibits the creative and aesthetic characteristics deemed relevant by their peers and associates…”
The Plano Classroom Building is designed to operate as a stand-alone complete campus – extending the mission and experience of the main Sugar Grove, Illinois campus to outlying communities. The building contains classrooms, laboratories, student study areas, and support space. Full-service admissions, testing, and assessment spaces are also provided.
The awards ceremony will be held at Medinah Country Club on Friday, November 9th.View all stories
