After fire and water caused severe damage to Building Number 2 of the Chicago Housing Authority’s Flannery Senior Apartments, Holabird & Root was retained by the law firm of Salvi, Schostok, & Pritchard, PC to conduct an existing conditions assessment.
A detailed report, which included a cost analysis, was prepared and Holabird & Root was later hired by the Chicago Housing Authority to renovate the 99,120 sq. ft. building.
The interior renovation included demolition, abatement of hazardous materials, modernization of the elevator, and implementation of energy-efficient mechanical equipment.
The exterior renovation included window replacement and structural rehabilitation of the east side of the building including the beams and balconies.
