Holabird & Root was commissioned by Concordia University to provide planning, programming, and design services for a renovation and addition to the institution’s Mary Martha Residence Hall.
The project replaced the outdated dormitory on campus and added new housing for students. The updated dormitory will include 120 beds, with quad suites that include both single and double units. The suites will also include a kitchenette and living space.
Additionally, social gathering spaces are located on each floor. It also included a new gateway and linking structure to a complex of residential buildings that will incorporate student gathering spaces, café space, and more. With a growing student population, Concordia now have the housing it requires to accommodate its expanding enrollment.
