The design for the 94,000 sq. ft. Dorchester Terrace Senior Residences reflects the mission of creating a new space for the 55 or older population that combines modern amenities with a strong sense of community.
Unique to this new generation of current and future retirees is a set of values that embraces sustainability, an active/wellness-centered lifestyle, and contemporary aesthetics.
To reflect these values, amenities include a large café space, medical clinic, and dining services. The building itself responds to these values by creating a loft-like image from the exterior that includes high ceilings and an open plan of typical urban loft units.
The design also embraces sustainability, and is organized and positioned to maximize access to the outdoors, natural light, and view corridors.
