Elmhurst College Schaible Science Center

Open / Close

Elmhurst College wanted to renovate and expand their Arthur J. Schaible Science Center to serve their students more effectively and compete with peer institutions in the sciences. The goals for the pre-design and master plan of the Science Center include strengthening the images of the sciences on campus, integrating nursing with the natural sciences, providing a facility that supports active hands-on learning, encouraging student interaction outside the classroom, creating greater exposure for the Center for Health Professions, and enhancing interdisciplinary opportunities for faculty and students. The Center will be the home for the College’s chemistry, biology, physics, nursing, and psychology departments and will include nursing simulation and skills labs, the Center for Health Professions, appropriately-sized lecture halls, a greenhouse, and a rooftop observatory.
