The existing Dr. Allan L. and Mary L. Graham Clinical Performance Center (CPC) currently resides within the College of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The facility has reached its usable lifespan and has a need for additional space to grow its programs. Moving to the newly constructed Mile Square Health Center on the southern edge of the College of Medicine campus will enable the Simulation Institute and the Clinical Performance Center to expand and provide a state-of-the-art, technologically-advanced facility for students and instructors. Holabird & Root, in-conjunction with the S/L/A/M Collaborative, is currently completing the 29,000-s.f. project, which will approximately triple the size of the current facility and will be constructed in two phases. Phase 1 encompasses the development of the Simulation Institute on the 5th floor of the Mile Square Health Center. The Simulation Institute includes high fidelity human patient simulators and task trainers in a variety of flexible simulation labs. Phase 2 is located on the eastern half of the 4th floor of the Mile Square Health Center.
