Winona State University Integrated Wellness Center

Open / Close

At the forefront of the national trend to unite health and wellness programs, Holabird & Root designed a first-of-its-kind integrated wellness center. The center is the first in the nation to truly combine the six dimensions of wellness – spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and occupational into one facility.

The building combines elements typically found within an athletic facility such as an indoor fitness track, cardiovascular fitness and strength-training facilities, gymnasiums, and aerobics classrooms, with those typically found in a health services building such as a health services clinic, a counseling center, and a health education and resource center.

Experiential learning labs, classrooms and faculty and administrative offices are also incorporated into the building, exposing students to the holistic options available to them.
