Holabird & Root designed the glass and steel pedestrian bridge to help revitalize the downtown area of Davenport, Iowa.

The distinctive cable-stayed style bridge – with 99-foot high columns that span 575 feet over a parking garage, highway, and heavily-used railroad tracks – was­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ a part of Davenport’s River Renaissance redevelopment project

The angled glass walls allow unobstructed views to the surrounding city. At night, LED lights create a rainbow of colors and penetrate translucent glass panels set into the floor of the walkway.

The bridge is more than a connection of two points, it is a destination in itself, a place where people go to experience the city and the river.
