Holabird & Root, in association with Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber, designed a new 28,500-square-foot theater facility on the campus of Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The lobby, with its large windows, encourages people to experience the surrounding environment and accommodates pre-performance receptions, audience circulation, the concession stand, box office, and public restrooms.

A 180-seat black box theater includes flexible staging and separate access for actors and duplicates the main stage size to double as a rehearsal hall. Space for storage of costumes, props, and scenery are all tucked under the seating at a lower level.
