Used for community events, rehearsals, and the City’s annual Second City holiday improv show, Holabird & Root and the Aurora Civic Center Authority collaborated to transform its Copley Theatre into a contemporary space to host additional arts and performance functions. 

The sightlines and seating and were renovated to allow for a more intimate experience for theater patrons within the 165-seat theater. Additionally, the stage was re-configured and backstage support spaces were modernized for cast, crew, and staff members.  In addition to the Copley Theatre, a new lounge complete with a bar and flexible furniture was created adjacent to the main theater space.
