CHA FANNIE EMANUEL APARTMENTS FOR SENIOR HOUSING
The Chicago Housing Authority’s Fannie Emanuel Senior Apartments Modernization comprises the complete renovation of an existing, 20-story residential building.
The new façade creates a new weather barrier, adds insulation to what was formerly a solid block and brick wall, and provided the design team with the opportunity to create a contemporary look for the exterior.
Additionally, the project features 181 renovated residential units, a roof garden offering views of the city, a new main entry and lobby, and extensive landscaping of the project’s 2.5-acre site.
