Holabird & Root was selected through the GSA’s National Design Excellence Program to design an addition to the National Foreign Affairs Training Center that would serve as a seamless extension of the existing surrounding buildings that were designed two decades earlier.

The design balances security concerns and expands the campus to include two new three-story buildings that provide teaching space, flexible offices, and a large AV-intensive, divisible meeting room, which can accommodate groups of various sizes. Additions were also made to the dining facility, childcare center, and visitor center.
