The Marquette Building, located in the heart of Chicago’s Loop, was designed by Holabird & Roche in 1895. Holabird & Root has provided ongoing architectural and engineering services for the building including renovating the arcade and tenant floor bathrooms, and upgrading the fire alarm system.

The design team also created an exhibit area between the Marquette Building and the adjoining Revival Food Hall, showcasing the building’s history and significance to the City of Chicago. Holabird & Root also designed a new Fitness Center within the building for tenant use. The space includes locker rooms with showers, bathrooms, and tenant lockers; a fitness room for yoga, dance, and other fitness classes; and fully-equipped cardio and free weight areas.
